Thanking God for the gift of Motherhood

I thank God for the gift of being a mother. I count it a great honor to have the privilege of being a mum to God’s children. That God could choose me to be a mum leaves me in awe.

When we had our first daughter, sometimes I would wonder if I was dreaming and would wake up to find that it was all just a pleasant dream, but it was all real.

I used to think that children don’t come with a manual, but they do, read the Bible and pray every day. By His grace, I came to understand that God is the manual for the children and I have to learn of Him.

I thank God for seeing me through: one c-section, one three weeks overdue delivery, one at home delivery and one complicated footling breech delivery. Glory be to our Lord Jesus Christ.

I thought of you when someone said: “I’ve had enough–I can’t take this anymore.” they were overwhelmed and engulfed by so many troubles. Then I thought how do you make it? You who have every reason to give up, but you choose each time to stay strong and sweetly whisper: “all is well.” with a strong and a big smile.

When I asked myself why do you do this, then your heartbeat responds it’s all because of you child.

I thought of you when I heard them say they have 2 to 3 jobs; they work nights or days and only get a week or two to rest with a meager wage at the end of it all. I chuckled and thought, what would you say then? You are always on duty 24/7; 7/7;365 days/year. Multitask is your nickname, and you have a never-ending job. You fill in so many positions, and you carry yourself proudly and gracefully tackling any task that comes your way. An educator you are, a counselor you are; a cook; a therapist; a nurse and the list goes on and on — all free of charge.

I think of you every time I read or hear the word heroine; superhuman, extraordinary, bold, beautiful; courageous; prayerful; intelligent; fierce; loving because those adjectives describe who you are.

Your heart is caring, and your love is selfless. God bless all the mothers for all the exceptional work they’ve done and are doing.

Happy Mother’s day to all mothers

Recently, we celebrated Easter and we were reminded that Easter means death, burial and resurrection.

The prophet, declared that it is the greatest message: “Oh, there have been great messages, but Easter capped them all. Great messages, Easter was all of it. When the dead, was made preparation, that the last enemy. We’d seen sickness healed in the Old Testament. We’d seen miracles performed in the Old Testament. There were visions come in the Old Testament. But every man went right to the grave, wondering would he ever rise again. But Easter morning when these disciples got the greatest message that any man could ever get, what did they get? Go tell my disciples, I am risen from the dead.” Death had been conquered.”

After His resurrection, Jesus commanded His disciples to go and demonstrate the gospel. As Brother Braham explained the commission: “But on Easter morning they got a message, “Go ye into all the world; preach the Gospel to every creature. I’m raised from the dead, Lo, I am with you always, even to the world. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; he that believeth not shall be dammed. And these signs shall follow them that believe: in my Name they shall cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; if they take up serpents or drink deadly things it shall not harm them, if they lay their hands on the sick, they shall recover.” The Easter message, it’s one of the most outstanding messages there is. Death had been conquered.”
